Coconut-cacao-dream

Coconut cacao dream - delicious sugar-free, sweetener-free and dairy-free dessert or dipping sauce for a fruit platter. Delicious and healthy! Recipe here: MyCopenhagenKitchen.com

This delicious recipe I have for you today is not only completely sugar-free but also sweetener-free and dairy-free. And made with only two ingredients.

Do you remember the whipped coconut cream? This is basically just whipped coconut cream with added raw cacao powder. And it’s yummy! It’s also very rich so you don’t want to finish the whole serving yourself. Use it as a small dessert or use it as a dipping sauce for a fruit platter.

1 SMALL BOWL (small dessert for 2-4 persons or dipping sauce for 4)

  • 150g of coconut cream
  • 1-2 tablespoons of raw cacao powder
  • optional: cacao nibs for topping

You can add your sweetener of choice for a sweeter version. I liked it without any added sweetener.

DIRECTIONS

1. The preparations start a couple of hours, maybe even the day before with you putting a can of coconut milk in the fridge in order for the cream to separate from the water.

2. Open the can and spoon out the coconut cream and put it in a bowl. Add cacao powder and maybe a little bit – maybe 1-2 tablespoons – of the coconut water – but only if your coconut cream is very hard.

3. Beat the coconut cream with the cacao powder using an electric beater. Beat until all white lumps have disappeared. Pour in bowl(s) and top with cacao nibs for extra crunch.

IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT COCONUT MILK
Some brands add stabilizers to the coconut milk that keeps them from separating. If you happen to open a can that has not separated, you cannot use its content in this recipe. I’m sorry. Use it for cooking or smoothies instead.

You only need the coconut cream here and the harder the better!
