These spicy chili almonds are a delicious snack! I use them both in the kids’ lunch boxes (they are starting to like spicy food) and I also use them for topping on salads. It takes so little to make a boring salad extra yummy!

We have several favorites for snacks in this house. The tamari roasted almonds are another favorite so make sure you try those as well. The salted almonds are really nice too! All are good for appetizer snack if you’re having friends over for dinner.

ROASTED CHILI ALMONDS

  • 200g of almonds
  • 1-1,5 tsp of chili powder (I used a chipotle chili)
  • 1 tsp of curry powder
  • 1 tsp of onion powder
  • 2-3 tsp of salt
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 0,5 tsp of hot sauce

DIRECTIONS

1. Preheat oven to 300°F/150°C.

2. Heat up olive oil in a skillet to medium temperature. Roast all the spices in the oil.

3. Add the almonds and toss them around until they’re covered in spices and oil. Toss in the salt and mix well. Roast them in the spices for 3-4 minutes.

4. Place the almonds on a baking plate covered with baking paper. Sprinkle hot sauce over the almonds and dry them in the oven for 15-20 minutes.

5. Take them out and allow them to cool and dry before you serve them or store them in an air tight container.
