I’m visiting my dad in south of France as we speak. He lives here and I try to visit as often as I can. South of France is very close to Paradise on Earth. It’s beautiful, sunny, warm and the food here is amazing!
Apart from relaxing by the pool, I love to go grocery shopping in the supermarket, BioMonde, which is an all organic supermarket chain with a store right outside the town, where my dad lives. I’m completely in love with that place. They have everything! And it’s all organic and the prices are so much lower than in Denmark. They also sell things that I can’t even buy at home or things, I need to go to the health stores for. Imagine being able to buy all your products in the supermarket. What a dream! I wish I could shop in that kind of store in Copenhagen.
Check out this little reportage, I made, when we went shopping there yesterday. It makes me want to move here!
Organic fruit and vegetables. Sold by the kilo and NOT wrapped in plastic!
When in France, you must eat artichokes. My daughters favorite! Served with lots and lots of butter. Check out how to cook an artichoke right here: How to cook an artichoke
Kefir and other fermented dairy products. I make them myself at home but how nice to be able to buy them ready made from the supermarket too!
My favorite brand of store bought kombucha, Karma Kombucha. It has the lowest sugar content of any kombucha I’ve seen in a store. Only 2g per 100 ml.
All kinds of fermented vegetables. Nice to make at home but easy to buy, right?
All types of special flours like coconut, chestnut, almond meal etc. They also have all kinds of sugar replacements like coconut palm sugar, xylitol, erythritol and stevia.
